Over 300 species of birds, both resident and migrant, have been recorded at Marikwa, including raptors. It is a great destination for bird watchers.
Bow Hunting
Marikwa Game Farm offers a unique bow hunting experience, giving the hunter the opportunity to hunt in diverse topography and vegetation.

Marico-Oog
With only being 20km from the Marico Oog, it is a must see. It was formed by a natural spring that produces crystal clear cool water and it hosts lush plant life, including beautiful water lilies whose stems trail down in the water below. The visibility is often more than 20 metres so you can see the bottom, and the fish life, from the surface. It is a very popular fresh water diving site in South-Africa and only 20km from Marikwa Game Farm.

Fishing
Within the Marico district there are 5 different dams with fishing potential. On Marikwa Game Farm fishing can also be enjoyed.
Sun City
Marikwa is just a 1.5-hour drive from Sun City and the famous Lost City which is one of South-Africa's most popular entertainment destinations.
